Micro Blading is done with a hand tool and blade that goes into the end of it, the blade is dipped into the pigment and then used to create fine hair strokes in the skin by making super fine incisions.
Micro blading is a semi permanent procedure, designed to completely leave the skin if the client chose to, it will last maximum 18months-2years, which at this stage is the pigment completely leaving the skin.
Pain is very minimal but it does vary person to person, I use a strong topical anaesthetic which is normally left on the skin for approximately 45 minutes depending on how long it takes the client to numb up. It feels like a slight pull through the skin. Once I have done the first pass there is a second anaesthetic that is used over the area which will numb up even deeper, most clients will be completely numb at this point. I have found clients who have a lot of blood at the surface of their skin to be more sensitive and clients who have a resistance to anaesthetic ( you would have the same problems at the dentist ).
Healing is anywhere from 5-10 days.
No the procedure is very gentle on the skin, the second anaesthetic I apply through out the procedure also takes out any swelling in the skin. It will look like you have had your eyebrows freshly waxed and tinted, they will darken in the first few days though, but that’s about as extreme as they will get.
Yes you can wear makeup that is fine, as long as it doesn’t touch the brow area while healing, once healed you are fine to wear makeup over the area.
You can not get them wet while they are healing, so it is advised to wash your hair before coming in for your appointment.
Not at all, once I have drawn on the brows then I will come through and tweeze away any hairs that aren’t apart of the shape.
It is advised not to exercise in the first 3 days, while the pigment is trying to bond to the skin. If you worked yourself up into an excessive sweat you risk sweating the pigment out of the skin.
After you are numb and we have discussed desire thickness/shape, I will then measure your eyebrows up with a stick on ruler which sits in between and above your eyebrows and then mark out where they should start, where the arch should be and the tail, drawing them on and Making sure they are nice and symmetrical. I will work with your natural brow structure, by doing this it will give you the most natural look possible.
Yes you do have to be 18 to have the procedure done.
No you can’t have it done while pregnant or breast feeding.
I supply you with your after care cream, cotton tips and rounds to take home, also an aftercare instruction sheet.
I have colours from light blonde right through till darkest brown/black. Colours can be mixed also to achieve the right shade for you. All pigments are tested on the skin first so we can both see how they sit on your skin.
I use LI Pigments – www.lipigments.com.au
Please contact me with any medications you may be on or health concerns and we can go through it, some medications/health concerns will restrict you from having this done.
Yes everything I use is disposable and disposed of correctly once used.
I have never had anyone have a reaction, if you do have extremely sensitive skin I would recommend coming in and we can do a patch test for you.
